The Caribbean Explorer 2 was built in 1978 and renovated in 1999.
Caribbean Explorer has a length of 35 meters/ 115 feet long and a beamwidth that reaches 7meters/ 25 feet wide. Moreover, this liveaboard can reach speeds of up to 11 knots and uses 2 x GM 12 V 71 450HP engines. You will also find two 16-foot inflatable tenders that have 25GP engines that will take to various dive sites in the region.
This liveaboard operates in the North-Eastern Caribbean and will take you to locations like St Maarten, Saba and St. Kitts. The vessel is also capable of producing up to 1200 gallons of freshwater each day. This is a great liveaboard for all year diving around the Caribbean.

The Caribbean Explorer has a house up to 18 divers in 9 stylish, luxury staterooms. All of the cabins have windows showcasing the beauty of the seas and surroundings. The cabins also have individual controlled climate control as well as en-suite bathrooms to make the cabins more personal. There is ample storage in the rooms for your personal belongings. You will have the choice of various cabins that come with double beds or twin upper beds and double lower, lower twin beds and upper twin beds, Queen Bed, and Queen Bed with upper twin bed.
Relaxation & leisure activities on the Caribbean Explorer
There is ample room on board the Caribbean Explorer for relaxation and leisure activities. The air-conditioned salon is considered to be the communal area where most of the time out of the water is spent. There is an entertainment center where guests can enjoy the music it also has a video library, TV, and a CD/DVD player.
The upper deck is known as the sun deck where you can soak up some much-needed vitamin D. There are various lounges where you can sit and star gaze to your heart’s content. You can also go on various land excursions to exotic islands that are filled with a rich history and diverse cultures.
Dive deck on the liveaboard
There is a large dive deck that makes entering and exiting the water easy. On the dive deck, you will find rinse bins and gear bins for cleaning and storing of your scuba gear. There is also a camera table and charging facilities for all your equipment. The dive deck is designed for comfort and to maximize the space of the area.
Food on the liveaboard
Serving you delicious cuisine is just one of the things the Caribbean Explorer prides itself on. They aim to please with three meals every day that begins with a lavish breakfast that consists of bacon & eggs, muffins, French toast, pancakes, porridges, and fresh fruit platters. Lunchtime will see a buffet-style spread with sandwiches, hot soups, burgers, pasta, and various salads. The chef will prepare a sit-down dinner with protein accompanied by a side dish. These meals are inspired by local and international cuisines. Snacks will also be served throughout the day with sweet treats like brownies, cookies, and baked bread.

The Caribbean Explorer is available all year round and takes you to the best diving sites in the whole Caribbean. A normal dive itinerary will last for seven nights and you will get to explore wrecks, pinnacles, walls, marine life, and vast coral reef systems.
