Liveaboard Review

The Blackbeards Morning Star was built in 1984 and renovated in 2016. The deck area of the liveaboard is 304 sq meters/1000 sq feet and can accommodate up to 22 guests in ultra-modern cabins. You will find the Blackbeards Morning Star uses a 1 Ford Lehman engine that has cruising and a top speed of 8 knots. There is also a tender of 1 11′ with 15 hp outboard that will take you coral-rich dive destinations. You will get to see eagle rays whale sharks among the big fish species as well as venture to white sandy beaches for memorable excursions.

Diving on the Blackbeards Morning Star in the Bahamas

Interior and entertainment areas

The Blackbeards Morning Star can house up to 22 guests in 9 cabins. This liveaboard is ideal for singles and couples and all the cabins are air-conditioned. You will find that three dormitory cabins have 3 shared bathrooms. All of the cabins are dormitory styled and they are fitted with single are double-bunked beds and privacy curtains to keep the beds separated.

There are also entertainment areas to explore on the liveaboard. It is a low budget liveaboard that has a common area where you can mingle with fellow guests on the Blackbeards Morning Star. It has a lot of open spaces where you can take in the rays of the sun or chill under the shaded deck area.

The dive deck is small but has enough room to store all of your gear. Some tenders will take you to all the dive sites in no time at all. You will get explore stunning wall dives, blue holes, and awesome shark dives.

Food on the liveaboard

The food is always freshly prepared by the chef. Meals are served three times a day along with snacks throughout the day. The buffet-style meals are eaten picnic style and create a great atmosphere among guests.

Itinerary on the Blackbeards Morning Star

With this exceptional liveaboard, you will get to explore places like the Exumas, the Cuts of the Cays and Pig Beach. Each of these locations is buzzing with activity and will see various marine-life and an abundance of coral reefs. There will also plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding islands. Itineraries usually last for seven days and six nights per trip.
