Diving on the Bidadari in Indonesia
BIDADARI IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A TRADITIONAL WOODEN PHINISI SCHOONER AND WE INVITE YOU TO SHARE HER CHARACTER AND CHARM
Relaxing, low key, laid back and stress free. You can do as much or as little as you want, meals are informal as is your daily routine. As a working ship you will understand the crew will work around you so that the days float seamlessly past.
We offer cruises to Bali, The Gillis, Lombok, Banda Islands, Satonda Island, Komodo, Flores to Ambon and Raja Ampat. Charter cruise opportunities for small and large groups throughout Indonesia.
Imagine, given the wonderful locations we travel, your days will be full of Swimming, Snorkelling, paddling our Sea Kayaks, filling up your camera’s memory cards, lounging around on our ample deck space not to forget opportunities for Land and Sea exploration.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The 37 meters Bidadari is a liveaboard cruising the waters of Indonesia. The KM Bidadari features 6 Cabins, all located on the Lower Deck. Each cabin displays a Double bed and four of them have an additional Single berth on top.
The ship accommodates a maximum of 14 guests, which leaves plenty of space for everyone to have a feel of privacy. The cabins come complete with air-conditioning and a small private bathroom. Also, please note that there’s enough wardrobe space in the room. On the other hand, the Bidadari kindly advises customer to be mindful as there is not much space to store big luggage pieces.
Bidadari welcomes families with children of all ages, from babies to toddlers and teenagers. Our crew are quite used to handling children of all ages and will be of great help to you. We advise you keep a close eye on toddlers in the deck area especially where the stairs to the cabins can be steep. Bidadari is a working boat and it is important for parents to remember to guard children at all times. For more information or to discuss your specific needs please contact us.
For health and safety reasons K M Bidadari is a totally non-smoking vessel. I think you will agree this makes for a more enjoyable experience for all concerned and please remember this when considering us for your Indonesian experience.
The Lower Deck is home to the cabins and the Main Deck is where you’ll find the main social areas, inside & out and the Dive Deck. Indeed, the over sized indoor Lounge and Dining Room take the entire Main Deck. Toward the aft, you have a big Salon, equipped with cozy couches and fully air-conditioned. By the bow, there’s a booth-style seating area where you’ll enjoy freshly prepared meals.
Furthermore, if you step outside on the Main Deck, you’ll end up on the bow of the boat. This area is fitted with loungers and is partially shaded. The Upper Deck also features an outdoor Salon area. And, finally, the very Top Deck is an immense sundeck where you can enjoy the unspoilt views of Indonesia and the beautiful sunset a night.
WE BELIEVE GOOD FOOD IS AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF A GREAT CRUISE.
You will enjoy a variety of healthy meals based on a mixture of Indonesian, Asian and European cuisine freshly prepared by our on board Chef. Where possible we will purchase food from local villages on the islands we visit. As you can imagine fresh Seafood will be a major component of our menu. Please advise us when you book if you have any special dietary requirements.
HOW TO GET THERE
Visitors to Indonesia arrive in Jakarta (Java), Denpasar (Bali) or Manado (Sulawesi). Jakarta is well connected with direct flights from most of Asia and Europe. Bali has direct flights from Singapore, Hong Kong, Hawaii and Guam, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Phuket, Tokyo and Taiwan. Manado also has direct flights from Singapore.
You can view which ports the boat use on their trips in the ‘itinerary section of the boat. You will also receive full departure details from us during the booking process.
Whichever ports your boat uses, it is common practise for boat operators to provide a transfer to the boat from the local airport or hotels (if you overnight beforehand) for your convenience. We recommend you take out insurance to cover diving and travel activities, including trip cancellation.
