Liveaboard Review

The Alila Purnama is a mighty Phinisi of 46 meters/151 feet long. The vessel embodies style and sustainability which are both evident with the use of local materials like teak and rattan. It is luxurious in self-classification as 6-star hotel. Whether it is Komodo, Ambon or Raja Ampat – guests have the full opportunity to enjoy Indonesia’s rich and amazing marine wildlife. The ship’s name which translates to The Full Moon, is exceptional in that it successfully fuses modern innovations with luxury to define relaxing accommodation and amazing water cruises. It truly replicates the standards of the Alila resorts to which the brand is known for.

Diving on the Alila Purnama in Indonesia

Boat Features

With a cruising speed of 8 knots up to its top speed of 10 knots, the Alila runs on a 650 HP Man single engine. Be confident that it is reliable and safe, able to withstand the strong kiss of the waves and water current.

Luxury is served at its finest with services replicated from the resort of the same name. This is evident with the spacious lounge and bar area where guests can comfortably relax. The main outdoor deck gives the best spot for adoring the amazing Indonesian views created by the visions of islands, waters, and the skies. This, the guests can enjoy while under oversized daybeds and umbrellas.

For those who want to relax through massages, there is an onboard therapist who can give you the yacht’s most sought signature, the Alila massage. The spacious dining area is also fit for romantic dinners with the exhilarating views serving as backdrops.

There is a complete library, where books can be read or where you can watch TV or perhaps listen to your favorite tunes.

With all of these features and amenities, it is not surprising for this liveaboard to receive numerous accolades and excellent reviews. This is not quite similar to any other yachts in terms of quality, price, service, and the experience that awaits onboard.

The Cabins

Through its 5 ultra-modern cabins, the vessel can luxuriously accommodate a maximum of 10 guests.

Each cabin is equipped with individually controlled air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. Beds are either in queen size or twin beds.

Imposing luxury and comfort at its finest is the Sriwijaya Master Suite which is expansively designed to have 180-degree wraparound windows for the occupant to see the changing view as the cruise progresses. It also features a large balcony and sundeck where a daybed and deck chairs are set up for relaxation. Aside from the common features present in other cabins, the master suite has a mini bar as well as coffee and tea-making facilities.

Food and Beverage

Dining is also at its best while on this luxury liveaboard. The best of Indonesia’s local food as well as the finest Western food is served. Except for alcoholic beverages like beers and wines which are offered at extra costs, all other types of drinks are inclusive.

Guests have the option to have their meals served indoors or outdoors. Regardless, guests are assured that only the most delicious and sumptuous food is for their feasting.

Snacks are served all day to give guests energy in between dives and other pursuits or activities. Like in any other liveaboards, special dietary requirements are acknowledged through advanced notices.

There is also a chance for picnic lunch or BBQ dinner during the scheduled land excursions.

Offering fantastic cruises of the Indonesian islands such as Komodo, Cendrawasih, alor and Raja Ampat – Alila Purnama gives guests the genuine opportunity of a luxury liveaboard diving. Chosen routes upon booking open the guests to the actual experiences of land excursions in the most-loved Indonesian islands.
