Insta360 GO 2

Small in size but huge in features and performance, the Insta360 GO 2 camera is ready to take on any adventure and action you can think of.

Weighing in at only 27 grams and boasting a thumb-size body, this is the world’s smallest action camera. But don’t let its tiny size fool you, it can still capture clear and detailed ultra-wide angle shots just like any ordinary action camera minus the bulky and inconvenient equipment.

Where to buy:

Insta360 GO 2

Thanks to its ultra-light body combined with the included—and quite handy—accessories, you can swimmingly mount it nearly anywhere you want. The Magnet Pendant, for example, lets you effortlessly shoot POV content—simply hook it on your shirt and capture the moment while you enjoy it with your own eyes.

Another cool accessory is the Easy Clip one which fits perfectly in your cap and works great for shooting those cool action videos. And because the GO 2 comes with the Insta360 signature FlowState stabilization and horizon leveling algorithms, you don’t need to worry about shakes and bumps in your final product.

Take your GO 2 for a run, a ride in your bike, and even for a brief swim, as it boasts an IPX8 waterproof to 4 meters (13ft)—it can handle rain, splashes, and even a quick dunk.

Capture the flow of time with its cinematic time lapse feature. Speed things up with the dynamic hyperlapse or slow things down and highlight key moments in super slow motion. Either way, you can be sure no angle will be out of reach thanks to its ultra-wide field of view.

Perhaps, you’re a bit like me who enjoys the shooting part, but finds editing all the footage time-consuming? Don’t worry! Just let the FlashCut 2.0. do its trick. This AI technology auto-edits your clips by highlighting the best moments and putting out to music, turning them into a ready-to-share story.

Having had a chance to use this software a lot with the Insta360 One R, it still never ceases to amaze how well it works. Most of the time, at least.

There is a small charge case that will get you primed up in less than half an hour from empty. And with this case, your GO 2 can keep going for up to 150 minutes before needing a recharge at home. The case also serves as a tripod, a remote, as well as a handheld grip for shooting selfies. Plus, its onboard Bluetooth connection lets you control your camera from up to 33ft/10 meters away.

Lastly, their app allows you to preview your shot in real-time over WiFi and adjust settings on the spot.

We like it for capturing performance features of new gear. It’s easy to use and takes surprisingly good video.

The Insta360 GO 2 comes standard with a Charge Case, Magnet Pendant, Easy Clip, Pivot Stand, and Lens Guard.

All in all, this is indeed a very practical and easy-to-use camera. Despite its size, it does pack many cool features that content creators love, especially if you’re into sports.

It offers amazing image quality and surprisingly good stabilization that together with its accessories, only make recording videos even more fun. But I wouldn’t use it for big video productions or to take photos. This is an action camera, so I would mainly use it for hands-free recording, action videos, and short clips, especially for social media.

The lack of audio functionality is a sacrifice to its form and scale.

Also, its low-profile is a double-edged sword as it allows you to record videos without drawing attention to you so you might not notice when someone else is doing the same. Even so, this is worth every single penny!
