Cressi has designed the Nano to have the minimum internal volume possible with a two-window mask. The compact hydrodynamic shape reduces drag and aids movement when in small spaces.
The buckles swivel to keep the mask secure and comfortable as you move. It’s a great option for advanced divers and freedivers alike.
The Cressi Nano is also available with mirrored lenses so fish will not be able to see you looking at them!
Our Overall Review
We have thoroughly tested - and read reviews from other experts and users. In summary, this is what we think:
Things we like:
-
Great performance at depth.
-
Fits small faces so should be suitable for teenagers.
-
Robust and durable strap.
Things we don't like:
There’s still some fogging after treating the lenses.
Does not suit all head sizes!

Cressi Nano Dark
Mask for advanced freediving and spearfishing, designed to offer an extremely hydrodynamic and compact shape to help divers to swim into the water and to aid movements in small spaces. The internal volume is minimal and does not require intentional equalizing. The swiveling buckles feature micrometric regulation. Angled tempered glass lenses. Anatomical strap. Available with Mirrored Lenses for hiding your eyes to the fishes. The reflection hide your eyes and could attract the fishes.
Features:
- Innovative mask for scuba diving and advanced freediving, designed to offer an extremely hydrodynamic and compact shape.
- Cressi has developed this mask by innovating the technical design. Even 3 patents were registered for making the Nano!
- It is the mask on the market with the lowest internal volume (12.86 in2 | 83 cm2), an ideal requirement for freediving lovers.
- Completely flexible, virtually indestructible buckle system. Patented by Cressi US 8281471 B2.
- The Patented Integrated Dual Frame Technology consists of the joining of two rigid frames producing a drastic reduction in the internal volume. Patented by Cressi US 20140013494 A1.
- Mask features inclined and inverted tear-drop lenses for improve downward visibility, a Cressi patented design (US 6272693).
- The Cressi mask is designed and made in Italy by Cressi, a brand pioneer in Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Swimming equipment since 1946.

Anchored Buckles
The buckles, anchored in the frame for optimum stability of the mask and tension always to be determined by the user, are completely foldable and tilting in all directions. Therefore the possibility of breakage is almost impossible. This type of anchoring also improves the stability of the mask, since the tension of the strip occurs on a rigid element and the movements of the tube do not affect the face.
Easy Equalization
During freediving and underwater hunting, the mask is one of those airspaces that need to be pressure equalized. Pressure equalizing requires air. Since you don’t have unlimited amounts of air as a freediver/spearfisher, you will want a mask with the smallest possible air volume.
Masks with low internal volumes create less drag and are easier to equalize and clear. They also tend to put the lens closer to your face, leading to a wider field of vision, another important feature.
Reduced Thickness
Its frame of reduced thickness in a single piece, without fences, allows a great lightness (125 g) and a surprising approach of the glass to the eyes with the consequent advantages in terms of visibility and reduction of the internal volume. The mask assembly is radial (non-axial); the frame, divided into two parts that are joined by a clip, surrounds the glass as a clamp. This system improves the sealing of the mask, eliminates any possibility of uncomfortable contact between the frame and the forehead and eliminates any vision of the central area of the frame from the inside.
