Product review:
Bass Champion
Lund 1775 Renegade

Those looking to get into bass fishing in shallow waters–with a beast-of-a-boat that gives you a racer sensation–should definitely check out the next model.

At 17’9”, the Lund Renegade 1775 comes packed with fishing features like no other Mod-V fishing boat and at a price that won’t break the bank. Like a jon boat with more tricks, there’s space to easily have 4 anglers casting at the same time.

It features one of the most technologically advanced livewell systems on the market, the ProLong Livewell System. Unlike the aerated livewells, this two-pump design keeps the water fresher and the fish calmer. Recycle, refresh or pump out is down mechanically and easily.

Other standard features include a port rod storage as well as a bow rod locker, a center storage compartment which comes with a small cooler, three comfortable seats in the cockpit, and loads of storage compartments to keep all your fishing gear organized and within easy reach.

The beautiful fiberglass side console houses all your gauges and switches as well as plenty of legroom on an easy to keep clean vinyl floor. While tilt steering wheel and good instrumentation gives you that race car feeling, hydraulic power-steering is not standard in this model.

The expansive bow features a recessed part for your foot pedal along with room for a trolling motor and a fish finder. Trim the aft outboard from the bow too when getting into the skinnies.

The Renegade is available in both a 17’ and 18’ model and offers a crappie option which comes with a bow livewell and multiple bow seat bases.

The Renegade 1775 carries a 90-horsepower rating (115hp for the 1875), which combined with its wide beam and Lund’s IPS twin plated hull delivers a fast, stable, and dry ride.
