Simple and Reliable
Teva Mush II Womens Flip Flops

The Teva Mush II flip-flops for women are an updated classic. Teva has incorporated recycled material making the sole and strap lighter and more sustainable. An additional observation is that the Mush II has a slightly narrower sole too.

But the price is still quite low and the durability seems to be the same–as long as they are the real, genuine product.

Suitable for casual everyday use around the city, they have a foot-forming footbed, low-key straps made of recyclable materials, and lightweight soles. They give just a little bit after constant, initial use. So, order to size or a half step down.

These Teva flip flops are a budget-friendly option for women. Like all flip flops, these won’t provide excessive comfort, but they make up for them on convenience.

Teva Mush Flip Flops: An Overview

The Teva Mush II is the updated version of the original Teva Mush. It features an upper, the Mush, made of 100% verifiable recycled materials, which is a testament to Teva’s commitment to delivering environment-friendly products. The brand has been using recycled materials since 2020.

The Mush top sole is designed to form and remember the shape of your foot over time. Meanwhile, the outsole has lightweight EVA foam.

These updated Teva Mush flip-flops still bear the iconic straps of their predecessors. Different vibrant designs are available.

With the company’s TevaForever program, you can turn your Teva Mush II once it’s worn out for it to be recycled. By doing so, it won’t have to go into the landfill and become a waste.

You can only expect so much from flip-flops worth a little over $20. This pair has a footbed cushioned enough to make you feel comfortable. As you break into the footbed, it forms and takes the shape of your foot to ensure your comfort.

At the same time that the Mush embraces the curvature of the foot, the strap will give a little room. It’s wise not to order up in size.

These women’s flip-flops don’t have the best traction, especially in challenging conditions. Nonetheless, they have a nice grip on concrete grounds.

Given its narrow footbed, the Teva Mush II is ideal for those without wider feet. Those with wide feet might have to size up to get the right fit.

Construction

In 2020, Teva started making these flip flops using recycled materials.  If you like environment-friendly products, like the Reef Women’s Sandy Flip-Flop they are an excellent choice.

The problem is that the Teva Mush seems slightly less durable than its predecessor. This is based on anecdotal evidence at best. It’s hard to these flip flops poorly when the pair we tested has so far survived a year’s casual use without any defect or debilitation.

Yes, the Teva Mush II will wear down when used constantly, but the good news is that you don’t have to throw them away. You can give it back to Teva so that it can be recycled properly and not hurt the planet.

In terms of style, these flip-flops look pretty casual with cute but not attention-grabbing straps. They go well with your daily shorts or jeans.

Comfort & Fit

For a pair of women’s footwear, these Teva flip-flops can only offer so much in terms of comfort. The foot-molding footbed is comfortable enough unless you need to traverse rocky terrains.

If you have wide feet, the Teva Mush II may not have the best fit for you.

The footbed is a bit narrow, so you might need to get a half or full size bigger than your typical shoe size. The original version had a wider footbed than this one. The straps are also pretty tight for users with wide feet.

On the upside, the Teva Mush II’s sole is lightweight and easy on the foot. Over time, these flip flops get more comfortable, especially once you’ve completely broken in the footbed.

The straps, which are about 1” wide, don’t cause chafing as many cheap flip-flops do. As time pass, they relax and become more comfortable.

Traction

With EVA outsoles, these flip-flops have reliable traction. You might be surprised how well the grip holds up in normal conditions, considering they are relatively cheap.

However, be careful wearing the Teva Mush II in dusty and wet situations. Slipping is possible, especially if the footbed hasn’t completely memorized your foot’s shape yet.

If you need women’s flip-flops with better traction in wet conditions or for beach use, check the Teva Olowahu.

Conclusion

These Teva Mush flip-flops aren’t that expensive, but that doesn’t mean they fall short in terms of quality. Many people, including the guinea pig that has been testing these, have been using Reef or Teva Mush flip flops on and off for many years.

While they don’t seem as long-lasting as their predecessor, they offer a lot in terms of comfort and traction for a pair that costs less than $30. Don’t expect them to survive forever. Expect them to do the job until they can’t anymore.

The Teva Mush II has foot-forming comfort, so you can be more comfortable wearing it over time. Further, it provides enough support for a few hours of walking around. It’s not the best choice for hiking or strolling at the beach, but you can count on it for daily use. If you’re running an errand or casually going around town, it can be your go-to footwear.
