Excellent for beginner free divers, snorkelers, and scuba divers, the Oceanic Predator snorkeling gear will provide a comfortable and easy diving experience free of disruptions.
The patented soft squeeze buckles on the Predator Mask make simple and quick adjustments possible while the soft universal skirt has been constructed so comfortably it feels like you could wear it all day. The lenses are tinted for extra UV protection and are assembled with stronger, long lasting, and highly sturdy tempered glass.
As far as the Predator Snorkel goes, Oceanic has taken us back to basics with a traditional snorkel design that is simple yet practical for every entry level free diver. Its simplicity gives rise to the fact that freedivers don’t have to worry about any extra moving components getting in the way of their dive.
With its striking blue camo print, this Predator Snorkeling Gear also bears a low volume and lightweight design for a more streamlined swim, making it an ideal kit for less experienced, beginner free divers who want to explore the ocean’s treasures without being noticed.

Review
The Oceanic predator snorkeling gear provides a comfortable, easy, and efficient experience for anyone starting freediving as a new hobby. These low volume and lightweight products are constructed with a basic and alterable design for easy adjustment and a hassle-free swimming experience.
What was markedly noticeable was the lack of shuddering at high speed finning, demonstrating the streamlined result arising from the design’s simplicity. In this case, less really is more!
The camo print on both the snorkel and the mask goes perfectly with Oceanic’s Predator Free Diving fins which bear the same striking design. For any underwater spear fishermen out there, this stylish and thought out combination helps mask your presence.
In addition, the tempered lenses on the snorkel mask are mirrored which means that your eyes are appropriately concealed.
When trying the snorkel mask on for the first time, we found it was effortless to adjust the straps using the soft squeeze buckles and the ingenious universal fit quality of the skirt ensured that, with some simple maneuvering, we found optimum comfort which lasted throughout the entire duration of the freedive.
It is clear to us that this snorkeling gear is designed extremely well, with beginners to free diving and spear fishermen in mind, for increased comfort and reduced energy consumption, allowing you to spend more time in the water without exerting too much effort.
The only caveat with the snorkel is that, without the dry-top deflector, using this snorkel in wavy conditions could cause some water to seep in at surface intervals.

Features
Several features have made the Oceanic Predator Snorkeling Gear popular for free divers and open-water hunters. Here’s what they are:
- Using the soft-squeeze buckles and the adjustable straps, you’ll find getting the snorkel mask on is simply effortless.
- The soft and universally fitting skirt feature will ensure that you can easily fit the snorkel mask on your face.
- The low volume design of this mask makes it easy to clear your mask from any water that gets in, or in cases of sneezes or coughs.
- The Oceanic Predator Mask performs very well as low volume masks tend to sit closer to your face and reduce the amount of drag in the water.
- The Oceanic Predator Snorkeling Gear is available in a contemporary blue camo print and can be purchased as part of a matching free diving fin set.
- The lack of moving components attached to the snorkel means that beginners can enjoy free diving without worrying about restraining parts that may get in the way
- The large enclosed nose pocket ensures that there is minimal pressure on the nose bridge and means that free divers can equalize with ease
- The flexibility of the drop-away mouthpiece on the snorkel makes for a comfortable breathing experience with zero chafing
Make sure to read on for more details on how the lens and strap components of this snorkel mask make it one of the best snorkel masks for beginners to free diving.
Lenses
These are great lenses and demonstrate why this mask is a mid-to-premium product.
Plastic masks tend to fog up easily and can end up ruining a diving or snorkeling session, and regular glass can shatter if exposed to too much pressure or if an underwater accident occurs.
If you pick regular glass, you will be unable to use your mask for scuba diving since the forces in the water might cause it to crack and shatter. You’ll be happy to know therefore that the Predator mask has already thought of this, installing tempered glass as the most secure and durable option.
This snorkel mask has adopted a two window lens design, to accommodate comfort around the nose bridge and also to facilitate a lower volume as the lenses can be closer to the face than with a single window mask.
The lenses have also been tinted with a silver mirror effect for extra concealment when spearfishing or free diving with various sea creatures. It makes these most suitable for bright conditions with good vis.
When free diving in low visibility, it is best to go for a clear (not tinted) lens with side window panels that will allow more light to get in, as well as giving you a more peripheral vision.

Strap adjustment
A snorkel mask should be comfortable to wear and easy to adjust underwater, if necessary. This is what the Oceanic predator snorkeling gear does best.
With zero sound, the patented soft squeeze buckle technology delivers improved comfort and simplicity of usage. The soft squeeze buckles couldn’t be easier to operate, which is especially important for a snorkel mask designed for beginner free divers and open water hunters alike.
If you find that your hair often gets stuck in the strap, don’t worry as this is very normal – you can purchase strap covers very cheaply that will do the trick.

Price/ Quality Ratio
The Oceanic Predator Snorkeling Gear is extremely well priced, given the quality of the product and ease of use provided for beginner free divers. On the whole, you’ll enjoy a very comfortable and hassle free experience with these on. You may find cheaper snorkels and masks but they will likely lack durability, clarity, or comfort.
This snorkeling gear is designed to save energy and is ideal for people who wish to try free diving or spearfishing. This snorkeling gear’s energy efficiency along with the design’s simplicity and comfort gives a wonderful starting experience at a very reasonable price.
Do we recommend it?
Yes, both free divers and open-water hunters will hugely benefit from the Oceanic Predator Snorkeling Gear. Because they are intended for efficiency as well as superior comfort, you will not tire out as quickly and will be able to spend more time in the water.
Comfortable, simple, stylish, and efficient, these fins are great for all entry level free divers.
