The Kicker Remix water shoes for women are a great fitting option with a classic water shoe look. Their neoprene upper with titanium coating provides good insulation, making it suitable for those chilly seasons when you are out on your paddle board or in your kayak.
It is worth noting that neoprene does hold water and needs more time to dry out, unlike mesh counterparts. The NRS Kicker Remix also lacks drainage holes, so when you get out of the water, you may end up with a squishy jello feel from water being trapped in the shoe. Having no holes will at least keep debris out of these water shoes. There’s also ample room in the toe box for those with wide feet.
A note of caution- you need to dry your Kicker Remix thoroughly. The glue holding them together will wear out quicker if you don’t.
The rubber outsole is grippy on wet stones and even better on flat surfaces. Whether on a SUP, surfing, or wading through a pebbled beach, these water shoes for women give a balanced mix of traction and sensitivity. Plus, there’s a 2mm shim in the sole for extra protection from sharp rocks. On the downside, they do not perform well on muddy surfaces since the lugs are not deep enough to give decent traction. Also, the minimalist barefoot sole of these water shoes for women doesn’t have a lot of cushion.
The NRS Women’s Kicker Remix are great fitting and will work well for some extra insulation and grip in the water.
